Fish tank part 2

Tuesday, February 27th, 2007

My fish tank more or less stable I guess. Think I’ll stop buying corals, hopefully if I don’t move them they can spawn and spread to the nearby rocks!

New hobby!

Saturday, February 10th, 2007

After watching my husband painstakingly doing up his marine tank, I couldn’t resist the urge but to follow his craze. *winks* I kept thinking, man, these creatures are so nice to see but so expensive to keep and need lots of patience. Since my hubby has the experience, why not I give it a try? So these are the pics of my newly started tank. Nothing fancy initially, must let the tank be "seasoned" first… ;)

On the 5th February, I lay out the rocks…

My first resident, Spotted Cardinalfish. There’s 2 of it, the slightly bigger one is rather unfriendly towards the smaller one… -.-"

On the 6th, my hubby helped me to add in the sand. Was pretty cloudy. Whole tank settled down the next day. On the 9th Feb, he gave me one of his "lousy" zoo for me to try out to see if my tank is in the good condition.

On 10th Feb, we went to Coral Farm at Lim Chu Kang to get new residents over our tanks. He got himself new clown fish, 4 chromes, 2 sea fans, 1 christmas tree, 2 feather duster tube worm and 1 anemone. For me, I got 6 chromis, 1 mushroom (coral), 1 zoo (coral), 1 anemone, 1 hermit crab, 1 snail and 1 saddleback clown fish.

The top brown zoo is the one I got from Coral Farm. The green one is from my hubby. I was so glad that it actually opened about an hour later I put it in my tank. =)

I didn’t managed to take a shot for my new fishes as they’re too fast! Will upload again next time. Mushroom wise… Still waiting for it to open more, then I’ll take a pic. Hehe~ Hopefully my tank will be as nice as my hubby one. Where’s his tank pic? Will not post it now… Too intimidating…

Trip to Sentosa on 3rd Feb 07

Sunday, February 4th, 2007

Yesterday I went to Sentosa with my family in laws. We went to Underwater World. Weird? Don’t know but I never been to Underwater World. It’s fancinating I tell you. I saw this giant turtle before I stepped into the place. As I went in, there’s a touch pool whereby you can touch the fishes like shark and puffer fish (I don’t think I wana touch that). There’s another bigger pool where all the sting ray are. Their fang were removed hence, safe to touch them. I was so fearful yet so curious how does their skin feel. I managed to touch alittle, very smooth but I had palpitation for a few seconds. It was fun. Hehe! I also very amazed with a creature called "sea angels", which was found by Singaporean. It really looked like an angel, transparent with red light in their tummy. So cute!!! Not forgetting a giant japanese spider crab, making me so hungry… Aw, I miss eating chilli crab… =P There’s too much fishes to mention so I’ll stop here. =X

After Underwater World, we went to pink dophine lagoon. It’s really pink colour and the usual stunts from what you see in tv. Kawaii!

When we left Sentosa, we head down to Vivo City. Man the place is big! So glad I’m with my hubby, I was so lost!!! Will shop around there again during weekdays after work when there’s not much ppl around. =)
