New hobby!

After watching my husband painstakingly doing up his marine tank, I couldn’t resist the urge but to follow his craze. *winks* I kept thinking, man, these creatures are so nice to see but so expensive to keep and need lots of patience. Since my hubby has the experience, why not I give it a try? So these are the pics of my newly started tank. Nothing fancy initially, must let the tank be "seasoned" first… ;)

On the 5th February, I lay out the rocks…

My first resident, Spotted Cardinalfish. There’s 2 of it, the slightly bigger one is rather unfriendly towards the smaller one… -.-"

On the 6th, my hubby helped me to add in the sand. Was pretty cloudy. Whole tank settled down the next day. On the 9th Feb, he gave me one of his "lousy" zoo for me to try out to see if my tank is in the good condition.

On 10th Feb, we went to Coral Farm at Lim Chu Kang to get new residents over our tanks. He got himself new clown fish, 4 chromes, 2 sea fans, 1 christmas tree, 2 feather duster tube worm and 1 anemone. For me, I got 6 chromis, 1 mushroom (coral), 1 zoo (coral), 1 anemone, 1 hermit crab, 1 snail and 1 saddleback clown fish.

The top brown zoo is the one I got from Coral Farm. The green one is from my hubby. I was so glad that it actually opened about an hour later I put it in my tank. =)

I didn’t managed to take a shot for my new fishes as they’re too fast! Will upload again next time. Mushroom wise… Still waiting for it to open more, then I’ll take a pic. Hehe~ Hopefully my tank will be as nice as my hubby one. Where’s his tank pic? Will not post it now… Too intimidating…
